Bento Grid Platform Overview

A feature section arranged as an asymmetric bento grid: cells of different sizes and semantic-token background colors sit side by side, with one large cell reserved for a big stat highlight and the rest carrying an eyebrow, title, and description.

Installation

A real shadcn registry command, not a copy-paste stand-in: it fetches this block plus its dependencies and any missing npm packages, and installs them straight into your project.

npx shadcn add https://staaarter.com/r/bento-grid-platform-overview.json

Prefer not to use the CLI? Copy the source from the Code toggle above into src/components/blocks/feature/feature158.tsx instead.

Usage

The file also exports feature158Demo, the exact props behind the preview above. Spread it to get a working section in one line, then replace it with your own data.

import { Feature158, feature158Demo } from "@/components/blocks/feature/feature158";

export default function Page() {
  return <Feature158 {...feature158Demo} />;
}

Props

PropTypeDefaultDescription

Types

interface Feature158Cell {
  eyebrow?: string;
  title: string;
  description?: string;
  variant: "primary" | "accent" | "secondary" | "muted" | "card";
  size: "lg" | "wide" | "sm";
  // When set, the cell renders as a large stat instead of eyebrow/title/description.
  stat?: string;
  statLabel?: string;
}

Behavior notes

  • Fully static Server Component, no client-side state or interaction.
  • Grid layout uses grid-auto-flow: dense (Tailwind's grid-flow-dense) at the sm breakpoint and up so lg/wide/sm cells pack without manual placement; on mobile every cell stacks full-width in a 2-column grid.
  • A cell renders its stat/statLabel pair when stat is set, otherwise it renders eyebrow/title/description; the demo puts the stat on the lg-sized primary cell to match the 'large stat highlight cell' brief.
  • Cell background colors come from a fixed variant-to-class lookup table (primary/accent/secondary/muted/card), all semantic Tailwind tokens, never a literal color class.
