Installation

A real shadcn registry command, not a copy-paste stand-in: it fetches this block plus its button dependencies and any missing npm packages, and installs them straight into your project.

npx shadcn add https://staaarter.com/r/change-password.json

Prefer not to use the CLI? Copy the source from the Code toggle above into src/components/blocks/auth/auth40.tsx instead.

Usage

The file also exports auth40Demo, the exact props behind the preview above. Spread it to get a working section in one line, then replace it with your own data.

import { Auth40, auth40Demo } from "@/components/blocks/auth/auth40";

export default function Page() {
  return <Auth40 {...auth40Demo} />;
}

Props

PropTypeDefaultDescription
headingstring"Change your password"Screen heading.
descriptionstringundefinedShort intro text below the heading.
forgotPasswordHrefstring"#"Href for the 'Forgot your current password?' link.
classNamestringnoneExtra classes for the outer section element.

Behavior notes

  • Real client-side state: three independent booleans (one per field) control each password input's show/hide toggle, toggling one does not affect the others.
  • The form's onSubmit calls preventDefault and does nothing further; 'Save changes' and 'Cancel' are inert, there is no real password-change request.
  • Each field has its own <Label htmlFor> and a positioned show/hide icon button with an aria-label that flips between 'Show' and 'Hide' text for the relevant field.
