Installation

A real shadcn registry command, not a copy-paste stand-in: it fetches this block plus its avatar, avatar-initials dependencies and any missing npm packages, and installs them straight into your project.

Prefer not to use the CLI? Copy the source from the Code toggle above into src/components/blocks/navbar/navbar8.tsx instead.

Usage

The file also exports navbar8Demo, the exact props behind the preview above. Spread it to get a working section in one line, then replace it with your own data.

Props

Behavior notes

• Real client-side state: clicking the avatar button toggles a useState boolean that conditionally renders the dropdown panel.
• The avatar uses AvatarFallback with initials derived from userName via the shared initialsFromName helper, there is no photo.
• The Profile, Settings, and Sign out rows are plain text rows with no click handlers, they are placeholders for account actions rather than real links or a working sign-out flow.
