Two-Column FAQ

A wide FAQ section that splits questions across two columns, each running its own single-open-at-a-time accordion so expanding a question on one side never affects the other.

Installation

A real shadcn registry command, not a copy-paste stand-in: it fetches this block plus its dependencies and any missing npm packages, and installs them straight into your project.

npx shadcn add https://staaarter.com/r/two-column-faq.json

Prefer not to use the CLI? Copy the source from the Code toggle above into src/components/blocks/faq/faq70.tsx instead.

Usage

The file also exports faq70Demo, the exact props behind the preview above. Spread it to get a working section in one line, then replace it with your own data.

import { Faq70, faq70Demo } from "@/components/blocks/faq/faq70";

export default function Page() {
  return <Faq70 {...faq70Demo} />;
}

Props

PropTypeDefaultDescription
badgestringnoneSmall eyebrow label above the heading.
headingstringnoneSection heading.
descriptionstringnoneSection intro text.
leftColumnFaqItem[]noneQuestions rendered in the left accordion column.
rightColumnFaqItem[]noneQuestions rendered in the right accordion column.

Types

type FaqItem = {
  question: string;
  answer: string;
};

Behavior notes

  • "use client" because each column is a real accordion holding its own local open-index state.
  • The left and right columns are fully independent: opening a question in one column never closes or affects the other column's open question.
  • Within a single column, opening a question closes any other open question in that same column (single-open-at-a-time).
  • The first item in each column is open by default so the section never renders fully collapsed.
