Video Tutorial Thumbnails

A feature section built around a three-column grid of video tutorial cards. Each card floats a play-button icon over its thumbnail, a duration pill in the bottom-right corner, and an optional category badge in the top-left, with a title and short description below.

Installation

A real shadcn registry command, not a copy-paste stand-in: it fetches this block plus its media-slot, badge dependencies and any missing npm packages, and installs them straight into your project.

npx shadcn add https://staaarter.com/r/video-tutorial-thumbnails.json

Prefer not to use the CLI? Copy the source from the Code toggle above into src/components/blocks/feature/feature109.tsx instead.

Usage

The file also exports feature109Demo, the exact props behind the preview above. Spread it to get a working section in one line, then replace it with your own data.

import { Feature109, feature109Demo } from "@/components/blocks/feature/feature109";

export default function Page() {
  return <Feature109 {...feature109Demo} />;
}

Props

PropTypeDefaultDescription
eyebrowstringundefinedSmall label above the heading.

descriptionstringundefinedSupporting paragraph under the heading.

Types

interface VideoTutorial {
  title: string;
  description: string;
  thumbnail: { src: string; alt: string };
  duration: string;
  category?: string;
}

Behavior notes

  • This is a plain Server Component: the play-button overlay and duration pill are static decorative elements, not a real embedded video player, and there is no click handler anywhere in the block.
  • The thumbnail image is rendered through the shared MediaSlot component, which falls back to a placeholder icon when no image is supplied.
  • The category badge in the top-left corner only renders when a video item supplies one.
