How GIF Color Palette Finder Works

Every pixel across every decoded frame is read, and its RGB value (ignoring alpha) is added to a set of colors seen so far, so duplicates across frames and within a frame only count once.

Once every frame has been scanned, the total size of that set is reported, and up to the first 50 distinct colors (sorted numerically) are converted to hex codes for display.
