The same color and tolerance are applied consistently to every frame, so the result is a clean, uniformly transparent background rather than one that flickers between frames.

It uses the same nearest-color-match technique as this codebase's PNG background-removal tools, just applied frame-by-frame to a decoded GIF animation instead of a single static image.

How GIF Transparent Creator Works

The GIF is decoded into its fully composited frames. For every pixel in every frame, the tool computes the Euclidean distance between that pixel's RGB value and your chosen target color.

Any pixel within the tolerance distance has its alpha channel set to zero (fully transparent); everything else is left untouched. The resulting frames are re-encoded into a new GIF, which supports per-pixel transparency natively.
